This section is very much a work in progress which will slowly fill with information about women artists that is not found anywhere else. We are presently very fortunate to have the volunteer services of Nancy Nield Buchwald, a PhD Candidate at the University of Chicago whose research interests include Abstract Expressionism and contemporary feminist art, available for this challenging project. Nancy has started this important research with an article about local artist Geraldine McCullough. Like Ms. McCullough each future selected artist will have her individual page which will contain biographical information, artist statement and/or discussions about her art in essay format in addition to at least two samples of her work. We have personal contacts to these artists and have their express permission to use their images for this purpose. Please read the Copyright Page for legal information.
