My work is a response to my surroundings and what I experience in those surroundings. In the past, my travels provided inspiration. These days, however, I am exploring images here at home in Chicago. Barbara Kay Herring was born in Chicago and has studied at the historic Tree Studios and the Palette & Chisel Academy of Art. She has exhibited with the Plein Air Painters of Chicago and in selected Chicago Artist Coalition venues. She and the Plein Air Painters of Chicago were featured in American Artist Magazine, February 2008. |
