Biomorphic shapes populate my paintings and other works. My favorite medium is encaustic, a medium that fits well with my art. The encaustic process creates depth of meaning and adds interaction between past and present. I use a torch to fuse layers of wax. As that fiery process repeats itself, patterns develop which, in turn, become new pathways for further exploration. The movement of the hot wax covers and uncovers mysteries. Abstract visions appear-patterns emerge and create internal landscapes. |
