| I create art because I have an inexplicable, irrational need to paint. I am most content when I realize the images in my mind into something tangible. If I procrastinate in putting the pictures in my mind onto paper or canvas, then the urge just grows and grows until it becomes an all-consuming obsession, and I cannot go about normal activities until I fulfill this dharma. Then I am completely happy, the disquiet is gone, and the creativity flows into the other areas of my life. |
