My work undergoes a process of obsorbtion and response. Coming from India and now living in the West, I have had opportunity to experience diverse cultural atmospheres. I absorb those experiences and respond through paint. I explore the relationship between cultural gender norms, the idea of freedom vs. oppression and identity. Drawing from these various ideas and experiences, I aim to create my own world.
