Bad Moon was inspired by the art of young children, which reflects their sense of being the centers of their worlds, but is unhindered by the self-consciousness and self-editing that people are conditioned to adopt as they get older. In both pieces I sought to capture a childıs sense of immediate inspiration and desire to tell a story. I used watercolor pencils and watercolors to create the free, fluid movement and emotional color with which children render their images. (IL)
