I explore both the oppression women face in society and their desperate fight against it. Linking these two opposing forces create work that brings women's issues to light in an attempt to defeat them. As a result, my work is at once poetic and disturbing. Working with bronze, a traditionally male-dominated material, enables me to juxtapose material and subject in order to raise questions about the lack of importance placed on the struggles women face.
