“Bee Boy, glazed in earth tones with a hive of bees for hair, is abuzz with arms folded as if to fly. Nurturing children’s innate curiosity of nature while educating them to become stewards of the earth will help ensure their future and the future of our planet. Having worked with children for my entire adult life, the child has naturally become a focus in my artwork. Exploring the figure of the child enables me to address social and cultural issues. My work addresses themes of gender, childhood, the environment, consumerism, and war.

“I have participated in over 80 juried and invitational shows in the US. My work is featured in the books ‘Confrontational Ceramics’, 500 Figures in Clay’, and ‘Best of California 2006’. It also appears in various art magazines such as ‘Ceramics Art and Perception’, ‘Ceramics Monthly’, ‘American Craft’, and ‘American Art Collector’.” (Petaluma, CA)
