My work utilizes the magic of found objects juxtaposed in meaningful ways. The objects I am using are discarded or abandoned, but wear the patina of a well-lived life. Joseph Cornell, Ed Kienholz, and George Herms were drawn to the appeal of assemblage as ordinary objects become transformed beyond their primary, ordinary function, and the associations they conjure.
Designed to stir the imagination beyond the conscious, everyday world, my work touches what lies beneath our conscious mind. Creating a visual language for what has not been spoken, what is felt but not known, my art provides a journey to that place rich in both personal insight and global visions.
