From the beginning of my career as an artist I have enjoyed incorporating a sense of humor as well as a sense of surprise into the objects that I create. A metal umbrella for a meteorite shower was inspired by my interest in new understandings of our vast universe. I have posed with it several times and my shoulder will never be the same! The whimsical tripod sculptures were inspired by my love of fossils, food and all things nostalgic.
