Establishing a connection between the natural and geometric has been an emerging theme in most of my art. This juxtaposition of the soft and hard edge working with or against each other provides a visual tension of the elements in each artwork.

I have always been fascinated by the actual art process –the mixing of colors, creating rich layers of textures and combining drawing together with painting on the surface of each piece. I feel that this is my fundamental foundation in creating my art work.

I work in many layers of materials, building up from the surface with found imagery, text, natural objects and layers of paint and drawings. Each piece has a distinct composition that includes geometric and natural shapes along with line and multiple layers of color. The result is a surreal quality that elicits a variety of interpretations from the viewer.
