"Disenchanted by mass production I found refuge in my own work as a way to promote local production on a small scale, and fulfill my desire to execute my ideas and work with my hands. Trained as a designer at Parsons School of Design, I am constantly merging between design, art and craft, as my work requires a combination of all three. My work is about creating an experience, whether it is with the senses, such as touch and feeling a texture, or a visual play of colors or by the way that an object is used and interpreted and its relevance to the environment that it is in. All my work is an extension of my experiences, experiments, thoughts, and questions.
This vessel is an exploration of how the object looks from one perspective to the next, looking like its leaning from one point of view and straight from another, incorporating a texture to entice the viewer to touch it. It is also an exploration of how two or three vessels interact with each other. (Brooklyn, NY)
