I’ve always loved the tranquility of nature and the natural world. In working in clay, I love the earthy quality that complements and reflects the world of my imagination. By concentrating on slab and coil construction on my pieces, I feel a connection and a grounding to the earth—the earth we come from, the earth to which we return. It reflects a beauty that shines out from deep inside that cannot be ignored, not a loud shout for attention that can be easily be tuned out in our hectic, modern world. (Cullman, AL)
