Juror’s Statement “The 58 works in this exhibit stood up to long looking. They moved me, drew me into dialogue, raised questions and offered multiple possibilities for understanding. They challenged me, hinted at mystery and suggested deep truths. I was greatly rewarded for the time I took to look at these wonderful artworks.
Making choices was very difficult. Many of the nearly 300 entries fit the above description, but could not be included due to the limits of space. I was motivated to show the variety of media, sizes and approaches of Woman Made’s members to their art making. This helped me choose and bring it down to size. .
As a long time member enriched and encouraged in my artistic life by Woman Made Gallery, I appreciate the opportunity to jury this show of members’ art.”
